Investigation on Welding Residual Stress Field of P92

The welding temperature fields were measured using a thermal infrared imaging viewer, and the variation of the welding residual stress in the welded joint of P92 pipe before and after postweld heat treatment(PHT) were measured by the X-rays diffraction methods. The finite element methods(FEM) has been used to calculate and analyze the weld temperature field of P92 steel pipe, and the calculation NEW WELDING PROCEDURES FOR REPAIRING H13 AND steel, where cracking can arise in regions of high hardness in the heated affected zone, that could be reduced to values equal to the base metal by a tempering treatment after welding, for H13 tool steel the only way to reduced the hardness is through a complete post-heat treatment of quenching and temper.

Passivation of stainless steel after welding - Cougartron

Feb 15, 2018 · Welding often results in a significant number of imperfections and flaws appearing on stainless steel surfaces. Some of the distinguished examples are rust, discoloration, burn marks, and heat tints. Traditional methods like mechanical grinding Post Weld Treatment of Stainless Steel - Steel and Jun 13, 2011 · The iron comes from contact with tools, clamps, steel or cast iron tables, shear blades, et cetera. Stainless steel passivates - forms that thin chromium oxide film - just by exposure to air. All you need do is remove iron contamination and heat tint (the blue color each side of the weld). Tips for Successfully Welding 4130 Heat-Treatable Low Sep 22, 2016 · Common ways to weld 4130 steel 4130 steel relies on the addition of carbon, as well as molybdenum and chromium, as agents that increase hardenability the ability to increase hardness and strength through heat treatment. The strength of the material can change greatly depending on its condition:annealed, normalized or quenched and tempered.

After welding and cold-working, parts may have stress. If annealing treatment is not suitable for specific circumstances, heating, heat preservation, and air cooling can be used in the range of 230~370, which can eliminate some internal stress and improve plasticity. 2. Thus, reheat treatment (quenching and tempering) of the steel after welding is not necessary.
