300 Series - Penn Stainless - Premium Stainless Steel

300 Series High Temp Penn Stainless Products inventories a wide range of stainless steel heat resistant grades, including 309, 309S, 309H, 310, 310S, 310H, and 330. High temperature stainless grades are stocked in stainless steel plate, sheet, bar and tubular forms. 309 Stainless Steel McMaster-Carr309/310 stainless steel has high levels of chromium and nickel to provide good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. Often used in heat exchangers and furnaces, this material maintains its corrosion resistance up to the maximum temperature.. Foil is often used as a heat-treating wrap in temperatures up to 2250° F. It is furnished with a crimping tool.

310H Stainless Steel - Penn Stainless

Alloy 310H (UNS S31009) has a carbon content restricted to exclude the lower end of the 310 range. This makes 310H the grade of choice for high temperature applications. This steel has good resistance to oxidation at temperatures of up to 1040°C (1904°F) in intermittent service and 1150°C (2102°F) in continuous service. Alloy Grade 310/310s (s31008)stainless Steels Sheet Plate Types 310 stainless steel and 310S are typically used for elevated temperature applications. The high nickel and chromium contents impart excellent elevated temperature strength and resistance to oxidation compared to Type 304 SS.Type 310S Stainless steel is identical to Type 310 except for lower carbon content that minimizes carbide precipitation and improves weldability. They are essentially Atlas Grade datasheet 310 rev Jan 2011Grade 310(UNS S31000) and its various sub-grades combine excellent high temperatureproperties with good ductility and weldability. Grade 310H(UNS S31009) has a carboncontent restricted to exclude the lower end ofthe 310 range, so is the grade of choice forhigh temperature applications.

Stainless Steel 310/310S (UNS S31000/ UNS S31008)

Steel 310/310S offers excellent oxidation resistance property while intermittent service at temperatures 1035oC and at 1050oC while in regular use in the presence of air. It is superiorly resistant to carburization, oxidation and sulphidation. For fabrication stainless steel 310S is forged at temperature up to 975oC to 1175oC. The Thermal Expansion - Rolled Alloys, Inc.Note that these coefficients are all multiplied by 10-6, which is the same as dividing by one million. For example, consider that 20 foot long muffle made of RA330, operating at 1800°F:20 feet X 12 inches/foot X (1800-70°F) X 10.0x10-6 = 240 inches X 1730°F X 10x10-6 = 4.152 inches.
